  • The Monticello-inspired Dome rises as the heart of the new Jefferson building.
  • New tables and foam furniture can move to fit students' learning needs in the upstairs Curie Commons.
  • Students can now eat lunch outside the humanities and foreign language hallway.
  • The Nobel Commons courtyard features an open aphitheater-style seating area.
  • The wooden steps that humanities teachers at Weyanoke in 2014-15 once jokingly welcomed with a ribbon-cutting ceremony jut out of the construction site beside the Minor Lane access road,
  • New IBET learning spaces make use of all common area.
  • "TJ has always had a ticket booth but it was not utilized because we did not have fencing to designate a common entrance to the Stadium. The new ticket booth will be used next season when construction is completed," said Rusty Hodges.
  • This space, long ago utilized for the school's own tennis courts, changed from a hubble of trailers to a new senior parking lot over summer 2016.
  • The greenhouse in one of the new courtyards has inspired two teachers, Lisa Wu and Shawn Stickler, to create a gardening club.
